Grilling is one of the most American things that happen during the months from May to September. As soon as the summer hits people are out on their built in gas grills ready to make the most of their summer time cookouts. Grilling has become a hobby for people. Instead of just simply cooking over coals now, you can find people outside on their bbq islands and some even have completely huge outside kitchens, with everything from outdoor burners to sinks!
Grilling however has simple roots. It is only recently that it has become an entire industry about making things bigger and better. Grilling started as just cooking food over and open flame. Probably dating back to the time of cavemen and making the most out of a little new invention called fire. It then became something different when Weber came out with their unique dome grill design. The designer of the grill based it off the design of buoys and that was what the company originally manufactured.
Now, the company still makes the grill based off the same design. That is the original charcoal grill. And now there is debate over which is the better way to cook meet, over a coal grill or a gas or electric grill. It really depends on how you want the meat or vegetables you are grilling to taste. People who like grilling over charcoal like the way the charcoal makes what they are grilling taste smoky. The smoky flavor is what they think means the meet tastes grilled. People who choose gas grills do so because it tends to be more convenient and less labor intensive than the traditional charcoal grill.
There are about as many ways to grill and types of grills out there as there is meat to grill. It’s really just a matter of personal preference and what fits in your lifestyle. You need to decide how much room you have before you pick a type of grill to buy as well.

I was having breakfast at the restaurant in one of the Four Star Hotels Dubai has when I over heard a conversation coming from the booth behind me. From what I could here there were two Dubain’s sitting behind me really having a lively conversation. I tried not to ease-drop but this one man’s voice was hard to not listen to, he wasn’t loud per se, but he was engaging. It sounded like he was telling a joke, but the story kept going, I had to listen to the whole thing. I just hope no one could tell that that’s what I was doing, listening in on someone else’s conversation, but it really was a good story, so I’m glad I did.
He was telling his friend that when he was in New York City for a couple of years, but still doing business in Dubai, that he walked into a bank in New York and asked for a loan officer. He proceeds to tell the loan officer that he needs to borrow $5,000 because he’s going to Dubai for a few weeks on a business trip. The loaner officer tells him that he’ll need some sort of collateral for the loan. The Dubai man hands over his keys to a brand new Ferrari parked out on the street not far from the bank. He then hands over the title and any other documentation the bank needed to verify, the Ferrari was his. So, the loan officer accept the Ferrari as security. He said by the time he received the $5,000 from the bank, a bank employee had already driven the $250,000 Ferrari to the bank’s underground garage and parks it there, keeping it safe. The Dubai man comes back to the bank after 2 weeks and repays the loan of $5,000 plus the interest of $16.00. The loan officer then preceeds to tell the Dubai man that he was curious as to why the Dubai man needed the loan, because through more investigating, the bank found out that the Dubai man was a millionaire. So, the loan officer ask the Dubai man why he needed to borrow the $5,000? The Dubai man laughs and told the loan officer that ‘Where else in New York can one park a precious car for two weeks and only pay $16.00 and expect the Ferrari to be in good condition and still be in the parking lot!’
I laughed at hearing this so loud that it was obvious that I was listening in on their private conversation, but I didn’t care. What a beautiful story, and so true.

If you are shopping for anything from a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels to a new LCD television you should use the internet as your first line of shopping research. No matter what type of item you are shopping for, you should first do a little research on price difference on the internet.
The internet has revolutionized not only the way that people communicate with each other, but also how they research anything from a term paper to where to get the best price on a new lawn mower. The internet is especially helpful if you are shopping for items that will cost quite a bit of money all at once, big ticket items.
Another place that you should consider before purchasing a brand new item that is quite expensive it to check craigslist. Lots of people end up selling their treadmills or furniture or other things that they don’t need and you can pick up some top equipment at a fraction of the cost.
A great tool that you can use on the internet is a website called Pricegrabber. All you do is simply type in the item that you are looking for and then instantly the site compares prices from many different retailers to find you the best deal. This site is great for electronics and other smaller goods, but also great for most any kind of item.
The internet is the best place to start researching something. The more you know about what you want to buy, the better prepared you will be when you go out and start shopping for it. For example, if you are looking for a big ticket item like a hot tub, you may find a great price on choosehottubsdirect.com but still want to see it in person. Well, go see the tub in person at another retailer and then come back and buy it off the website. Just make sure you find the site reputable and know the return policy.

My husband and I just arrived in Sydney Australia and before we got all settled in one of the Sydney Five Star Hotels, we made arrangements to go the The Australian Museum. It has an international reputation for its fields of natural History and its indigenous research studies. Being amateur history buffs ourselves and fans of anything indigenous, we could hardly get unpacked with the excitement of getting a chance to visit this fabulous museum.
The Museum was opened in 1827 and is Australia’s very first museum. It has a unique and, from what we heard, a very extensive collection of natural science and cultural artifacts. We thought those would be the coolest to check out first. But, we were stopped before we could check out the artifacts with being able to experience Indigenous Australian stories from the very Indigenous Australians themselves, in their own words. Now, that was a treat and totally unexpected.
The museum make it easy to speak with trained scientific staff, and we were thrilled that they would so eager to answer any of our questions. No only eager, they were willing to show us around, without arranging for a tour, and give us a one on one private tour. My husband and I accepted the offer and got a great demonstration on the use of traditional objects and we actually got to handle some objects. My husband was outside himself, he was in Indigenous heaven. Our private expert scientist even played the didgeridoo for us. We were so delighted we decided to be a yearly contributor to the museum.
We thanked our wonderful guide and went exploring on our own and we were absolutely amazed with the museums latest exhibition: Dinosaurs. This exhibition has the most current and latest technology, so they are well equipped to answer the age old question: how did the dinosaurs breed, live and grow. We got to actually do some dinosaur bone identifying at a fossil dig and we had so much fun designing our own dinosaur.
There still was so much more to explore at the museum, we ended up coming back the next day. This was truly the highlight of our trip.

Have you ever found yourself unhappy with a product you have purchased? This often happens with clothes. You thought a pair of pants looked just fantastic in the store, but you take a look at them at home in natural lighting, and you really don’t like how they make your hips look. So you take them back. When the sales lady asks you if there is anything wrong with the pants, you just simply say that you changed your mind and it’s an acceptable answer. A mark of a good retail establishment is how they treat their customers. If you enjoy the customer service a business gives you, you are more likely to frequent that establishment.
Unfortunately, it’s not always that easy to change your mind and get your money back. What if you buy a big ticket item and find it difficult to return? Say a giant hot tub that is built for twelve with awesome soothing jets. Problem is, it’s not what you thought it was going to be, or you simply changed your mind. That is what happened to Steve Barbarich 7/. He was shopping for a luxury hot tub on the internet and found that the company he bought it from had less than stellar customer service.
So instead of getting mad, he got even with the company, in theory. He decided to start his own luxury hot tub website with one key ingredient missing in the one he had tried to use, customer service. Isn’t it funny how long and far customer service can take you. There is a reason that companies make their employees go through customer service training. It’s because it the reputation of a business and its employees that keep it at the forefront of consumer’s minds.
It’s important to keep your customers in the forefront of your mind.

When travelers are looking for a heavenly five-star hotel, Phuket is one of the first places to come to mind. With its reputation for a love of all the good things in life, it is one of the most exciting and relaxing places in the world. There are excellent amenities in all our hotels, and splendid small touches that make them distinctive and very welcoming. Meeting or exceeding the standards in the industry, they are first rate in terms of style and decor, to make your time spent inside an experience in rejuvenation. Our world-class chefs are extremely knowledgeable, and can serve up traditional recipes or the best in contemporary fare. In-room entertainment is also excellent, and there are spas and swimming pools to keep the whole family happy.
Phuket has a reputation for night life, which can be very wild and rowdy, depending on where you go. It’s a good idea to ask the concierge for recommendations, as not all the neighborhoods will appeal to everyone. There are some really excellent restaurants, and lots of fun places to go to hear live music, djs, and dancing, and the parties are exceptional. One of the recent trends in local music has been a resurgence and reinvention of reggae music in Thailand, and one of the groups to watch out for us Job2Do.
With their lively rhythms, and intoxicating beats, Job2Do is finding a solid fan base here, mostly among locals. This is usually a good sign, as a lot of the bands that come through have their sights set on capturing the tourist’s dollars, and usually this means the music is extremely derivative. Job2Do on the other hand, is attracting attention because of the strength of the music, and the integrity of the band members. With their focus on environmental concerns, and the promotion of the reggae way of life, their sound tends to make the rooms lively, wherever they might be playing, and Phuket would be a particularly spectacular place to hear the sounds.

I intend to go on a walking vacations through India and the Himalayas. I was told that trekking in India and the Himalayas can get tricky so it’s important to get a hold of a reputable India travel guide or a guide for walking vacations. First of all, though, I booked a room in one of the India 5 Star Hotels, then did some research while I enjoyed a nice bed and hot shower before I started my journey on foot.
I found that foreign languages in the area where I plan to trek includes Nepali, Tibetan, Hindi when I’m in India and Urdu if I make it to Pakistan. English is understood in the major tourist areas, but I should purchase two guidebooks in foreign languages of Asia, especially since I plan to trek off the beaten track. I also, did some research about a car hire and what the driving situation is in this part of India. Apparently, Central Asia mostly drive on the right side, but in Nepal, India and Pakistan, driving is conducted on the left side of the road. I found it amusing to hear that if I make it to Tibet that I should just pick which side of the road I want to drive on! The better advise I received is as the driver, I should always be sitting nearest to the middle of a two-way road.
Now, as for the weather, Central Asia, with no large bodies of water to buffer the severe temperature changes. And if I do decide to trek, there will be variety of climates and geographical changes that may make what a pack a total challenge. Going from mountains to deserts, then to the grassy steppes and I know the steamy monsoons will be going on while in India, but when I reach Nepal, I could experience a freezing snow storm. Layers, I’ll just work with layers upon layers of clothes. Wish me luck!

The Western Cape and other parts of South Africa I found ostrich in the Little Karoo. Apparently, an entire industry has sprung up and some interesting rural legends since last I visited. I never thought I’d see even the thought of farming ostriches for anything. But, the Oudtshoorn Ostrich which is a cross between the resident Little Karoo breed and the birds from Northern Africa are world famous for their feathers.
I stumbled upon Little Karoo by accident, I hired a car and left my room from one of the Best Hotels South Africa ,has, to go see some friends I met when I was first here over 30 years ago. I seemed to have gotten their directions wrong and ended up here instead. So, I parked my car and did a little investigating on foot. I found being in the company of ostriches exciting. There were many other tourists about doing the same as I, just watching them interact with each other and ourselves. There are several ostrich farms around Oudtshoorn and they each give tours on a daily basis. The one I was on was a working ostrich farm. I got to see how the birds are bred and see all the other ways with which the ostrich products are made and marketed. I even got to ride on one of the biggest ostrich I’d ever seen. Some other of the tourist did not get to take a ride, because they were too heavy, luckily I’m so underweight I look like I’m at deaths door. Then after I rode the big ostrich, which is altogether a most unusual ride, I stayed around for a staged ostrich derby. They had very lightweight jockeys ride the birds around this enclosure. It was so funny to watch these big seemingly clumsy birds make it all around the track.
I called up my old friends and told them I has gotten lost, and I’ll see them the next day, if that was alright. I told them where I was, and I could hear laughter on the other end of the line. They told me to enjoy my trip and that they will always be happy to see me when ever I arrive at their doorsteps. Ah, Africa, what an amazing place, what amazing people live here and what wonderful birds observe and enjoy.

My first day in Malaysia I arranged to take an excursion to Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park. I’ve seen photographs of the Hot Springs on the Internet and I just had to see the place for myself. Even before I got all situated and unpacked at one of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Hotels, I called up a hired a car for the next days trip.
The hot springs park, one of the biggest in Malaysia, spreads out over 15 acres of exquisitely landscaped gardens. I saw a group of school children having a great time running around from pool to pool which some pools being small and some are big. The pools are set around oil palm trees, huge ferns, flowering shrub and herbs like the misai kuching and the tongkat ali. I wanted to run with the children, the hot springs are irresistible and charming with the Titiwangsa Range looming in the distance. I walked along the boardwalk near the entrance which gave me a view of the main source of the hot springs and I got to see how the water feeds into the various pools. Water vapours arose and curled along the boardwalk around my feet. I sat at a pavilion which serves as an open kind of spa with hot vapours rising up between the floor planks of the boardwalk.
There is a resort at the park which owns and operates this popular site not only for the tourists, but for locals alike. My favorite spot, and I believe the school children’s also was the huge knee-deep mountain spring pool which had refreshing cool water. There is a giant man-made octopus with a slide situated between its massive tentacles. I wanted to slide down it just as the children were doing, but feel awkward if I tried. So, I moved on to another large pool where I could just relax in the hot springs water. This one ran at 50 degrees Celsius. I didn’t try the one that ran around 100 degrees Celsius, too hot for me.
After enjoying the hot springs, I indulged myself with an outdoor Thai massage where I was surrounded by mountain air and the beautiful sounds of birds singing. I was a shame to leave at the end of the day, I could’ve stayed at the resort, but my own hotel bed was waiting for me to sleep soundly in it. I’m so happy I had a chance to see this spectacular place of beauty and tranquility.

Seville, Spain is an historic city with its origins dating back to at least the Roman era. During these early days, it was referred to as Hispalis by the Romans and later, after the arrival of the Moors, was renamed Isbilya. It has an interesting history and plays a significant role in the evolution of Spain. The Sevilla Spain hotels provide luxury accommodations while also serving to guide one through the rich history of the city. Today there are many museums, landmarks and other attractions that testify to its historical significance and cultural prominence.
The Archeology Museum is located in the Maria Luisa Park and is certainly one of the best of its kind. The museum places a strong focus on the Roman period, though there are sections that date back much further and also progress forward in history. The main galleries of the museum are upstairs and house the Roman relics as well as statues and various fragments that were recovered from the near by site of Italica. In the basement there are some interesting and rare pieces. These sections contain relics from the Paleolithic area. There are also copies of the Tartessian Carambolo treasures and a large collection of 6th century gold jewelry, which was discovered outside of Seville in 1958.
The Museo del Baile Flamenco is located in the 18the century Casa de Palacio, Palace House, on Alfalfa Street. This incredible museum is dedicated to the long standing traditional dance form of flamenco. It first opened its doors in 2006 after it was established by the well-known dancer Cristina Hoyos . She also happened to have been born and raised on the same street in which the museum now stands. This museum is an extremely popular attraction for most tourists who are also enthralled by the dance from itself. Many people attempt to learn the dance by taking classes while they are visiting Seville.

Ibiza is well known for its incredible club scene and nightlife activities. However, another impressive feature, which is also essential to sustaining oneself through an evening of hard partying, is the diverse assortment of restaurants found on the island. Cuisine from around the world is available, though oftentimes some of the favorite choices are standard Spanish dishes and Mediterranean food. Some tourists are lucky enough to being staying in a boutique hotel Ibiza that has a great café, restaurant and even night club as part of its services.
La Casita is a farmhouse restaurant that is located near Cala Langa. It was established by owner and chef Johannes, who thought the building would serve as the perfect spot for a quiet and romantic meal. The building is complete with high beamed ceilings, small dining rooms and a great outdoor covered terrace. Johannes is an inventive chef and many of the dishes served at this restaurant are his own creations. Some of the offerings include green fig soup, sweet hot fruit curry and bacon rolls with pesto and goat cheese. There is also a great selection of ice cream confections for dessert or a light snack. The restaurant is a great place for group settings and ideal for weddings, birthday and anniversary parties as well as business meetings.
The Casino Jackpot Restaurant takes its name from the building in which it exits. The former gambling room of the casino has been transitioned into a great restaurant with elegant and modern decoration. Due to its size it easily accommodates large groups and major celebration parties. The food has been described as some of the best Mediterranean dishes that are available. It is open throughout the year, which also makes it accessible whenever your special occasion arises. Some of the favorite dishes served are roast spring chicken with mushroom sauce, and crab lasagna with seafood in an herbed mayonnaise. The appetizers are amazing and include red peppers filled with cod and cold melon soup with ham.

Marijuana is a big debate. Some people say it is totally harmless and less harmful then alcohol, which is legal. Others say that marijuana is a gateway drug that leads someone to do harder street drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Many say legalized marijuana would lead to more people in addiction treatment and resources stretched even further.
There has been a recent debate in the state of California, because the state is basically broke, that if marijuana was legalized it would help alleviate the state’s budget woes. Research has showed that is as difficult to quit smoking marijuana daily as it is nicotine cigarettes. And nicotine cigarettes are also legal in the United States for those over the age of 18. And if marijuana use does lead to the use of harder drugs or because of mental problems, rehab centers that use dual diagnosis treatment would be needed.
No matter what side of the debate you are on, it is interesting to take a look at what the Dutch did. They have coffee shops that sell the drug in the Netherlands to those who were at least 16 and the rates of young people using the drug went up. But, once the number of coffee shops dwindled and the legal age was changed to 18, the statistics for use went down. There is also a thought if criminal penalties for marijuana use should be lessened for those who have small amounts in their possession.
No matter what you think, it needs to be taken into consideration that marijuana is potentially harmful, but no more so really than alcohol and cigarettes and those are both legal at certain ages. Kids already get a hold of marijuana and it’s all about parenting to keep them away from things until they are old enough to make their own informed decisions.

After getting situated and settled in of one of the Five Star Hotels in Singapore, we headed south to Sentosa Beach. It’s only minutes away by cable car, but we decided to take the ferry over. Sentosa was a former fishing village then the British took it over as a military base. But, now Sentosa has been transformed into a fantastic island resort for the enjoyment of everybody.
I really can’t put into words about the beauty of Sentosa, it would even be an injustice to even try. But, I will say this island is multi-faceted and is a jewel that is half a kilometer from Singapore. The versatility and variety of Sentosa (peace and tranquility) makes it different and very special for the thousands of visitors each week from all around the world. It’s unlike any vacation spot I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been around the world. What’s really fantastic is it’s on the fringe of the city.
Once I stepped foot on the island, I found my own slice of paradise amongst the several exciting attractions. I’m a history buff, so there was plenty of history to keep me occupied during the day. The clubs at night kept me occupied into the wee hours too. The lush green surroundings and the manicured gardens along with some very challenging 18-hole golf courses also occupied and fill my day with delights and wonder.
Near the end of my exploring the island, I finally made it to the beach. There was an exciting games of volleyball, professional volleyball that I bought a ticket for. At the same time down the beach a stretch was an International sandsculpting event. But, after the volleyball match, I just rented a cabana and beach lounge and proceed to get tanned. After I was thoroughly baked, I took the ferry back to Singapore to get some much needed sleep.

When traveling and staying in the top Melbourne hotels, it is good to get out into the various neighborhoods and check out the various markets and districts known for their shops and stores. The rest of Australia comes to Melbourne to shop, and for many years the city has carried the reputation as being the capital of the country as far as shopping in concerned. There is no need to wonder what you can find, what is fun to wonder about is what can’t be found. There are the large chain department shops such as Myer and David Jones, there are fancy shopping malls, and there are sections of the streets that are lined with unique and varied establishments. Each with its own character and personality. And all of this is either withing walking distance, or a few train stops.
And as far as personal tastes are concerned regarding fashion, it is all found in Melbourne. To the latest chic and trendy designer boutiques to the thrift stores for those shopping on a budget. And not just clothing is available, but anything from one of the many speciality stores are located throughout as well, such as books to magic spells, to perfume, coins and model cars. One of the best places to find such a variety as well as many different food stalls and hawkers is the Queen Victoria Market, know for the freshest seafood joints in town. The Arts Center Open-air Market is a great place to go as well, which happens each Sunday in the Southbank District. The market has more than one hundred and fifty stalls that showcase the finest work of Australia’s artisans. The work is selected by a panel, in order to ensure that all of the work offered at the market is of the highest quality and of the best design. All artists love Melbourne from actors to musician, painters to sculptors. Both of these market places should be on the itinerary of anyone taking a shopping excursion through the city of Melbourne, Australia.

Off all the organic and living creatures on the Earth, the only one that can be see from a space shuttle, is the Great Barrier Reef. This is one of the natural world’s 7 wonders, a World Heritage site and is the the ecosystem made of coral in all of the oceans and seas of the world. Many travel to the Australia spa resorts each year, more than two million, and stay along the reef on one of the many exquisite islands that surround it, of which there are more than six hundred. In total, the Barrier Reef is comprised of more than three thousand reefs that vary in size. This habitat is protected by the World Heritage organization, as well as by the organization set up by the governments of Queensland and of Australia through, the Reef Water Quality Plan for Protection, as well as a number of other community and industry groups. For while tourism accounts for a large part of the economy of Australia, the continued protection of the reef is necessary to ensure that the activity of the humans, does not destroy this life form.
Along with the vibrant coral, there is an abundance of wildlife and marine life that lives within and around it. More than fifteen thousand different species of fish, two hundred varieties of birds, four thousand varieties of mollusks, as well as sea turtles, whales and dolphins are found living within the coral. One of the aspects of protecting the reef is to ensure that the life in the reef remain abundant and diverse. The reef is made up of many single coral life forms, that attach to one another, creating and array of colors and shapes. This is the perfect location to visit for those with a combined interest of scuba diving or snorkeling and underwater photography. The reef is made up of different varieties of coral, some are very slow to grow, taking hundreds of years. Coral that is white is coral that has died, only colored coral is alive. Before one takes off to explore the reef, one must check maps as there are certain zones that are highly protected, however most of the park is accessible to the public year round.

Did you know that your tire pressure could be really impacting what kind of gas mileage your car gets?
Tire pressure is the pounds per square inch measure of the amount of air in a car, truck or SUVs tires. The only thing tire pressure is secondary to in maintaining the safety of a vehicle is the brakes. Car tires are that important to the overall safety of your car.
In the summer months, tire pressure is even more important because high temperatures can cause tires to burst more easily. And they are more susceptible to bursting if the tire pressure is not correct.
This goes for every type of tire from cars to truck wheels. Not having proper tire pressure could result in a serious accident. And what a shame, after you paid so much for your brand new truck rims. All kidding aside,
Americans waste more fuel by not having the proper tire pressure than any other way you could think of.
Think about it, your tires are the only thing that touches the road. And if your air pressure is too high, less of the tire will be reaching the road. If your air pressure is too low, too much of the tire may be touching the road, and either scenario can result in catastrophic consequences, not just poor gas mileage.
To make sure your tires are at the correct tire pressure, buy yourself a tire pressure gauge, or sometimes they are available inside gas stations if you just ask the attendant.
Then open your door and look for a sticker that is affixed to the driver’s side door, the sticker there will tell you what the manufacturer finds to be the correct tire pressure. Follow these directions and you should receive optimal performance in your car tires. Check your tire pressure regularly for a smoother and more fuel-efficient ride.

Madrid is known throughout the world for its many diverse aspects and historical significance. It is an incredible Spanish city, full of culturally unique elements and is progressive in the arts. It is one of the major theatre centers in Spain, and it has an international reputation. It is also a popular tourists destination, and many people who plan a European Continent exploration, will put Madrid on their destination list. The best Madrid hotels are excellently suited to contribute to a great holiday in this great Spanish city. They also serve as entertainment and resource centers and can assist with transportation access and landmark directions.
Madrid is not only the capital of Spain, it is also the largest city. This contributes to its global recognition and perspective. It is the third most populated municipality in the European Union, following behind Berlin, Germany and the greater London area in England. The Madrid Royal Palace is one of the most amazing architectural spectacles of the city, and is one of the greatest attractions for tourists. It is the official residence of the King of Spain, though the current King Juan Carlos and the royal family choose to live in the smaller Palacio de la Zarzuela, which lies on the outskirts of the city. The sight of the palace dates from a fortress that was constructed in the 10th century. There are city tours available and they offer the perfect opportunity to get an overall picture of the city and information on certain buildings’ histories and current as well as past significance. Many tourists choose this as a starting adventure and decide from it which areas and attractions they would like to later visit more closely. Many of the tours begin at the historical
Plaza Mayor, which is the city’s main square. Some of the sights that are explored include the Teatro Real, which was built by Queen Isabel II. It was remodeled and opened as an opera house in 1997. Another popular point of interest is the Puerta de Toledo. This quarter encompasses much of what is considered to be the Old Town, and offers a great reflection on the history of the city.

If one is planning to travel through India, one must make a trip to Jaipur. This is at once the capital city, the gateway to Rajasthan, and a great location to begin to discover the history and the many facets of the state and the attractions there are to see, to visit, and to partake in. The city gets its nickname from the fact that most of the buildings are made of pink sandstone and stucco. There are also quite a few modern structures such as the newly built Jaipur hotels, as well as some heritage sites and historical buildings. It is quite a feast for the eyes. It is a city where monuments meet the modern world. There is a mystery to be found in Jaipur, and once one travels through the market places and the palaces, it is a kind of mystery that one can not discover the answer to, it is a mystery that will stay in ones memory. The city is a mix of colorful buildings and colorful cloths, where motor cars are using the same streets as old men on camels.
While the city is almost three hundred years old, it is still a young city as far as the cities in India are concerned. One of the early kings of the city had a request. Being found of astronomy and star gazing, he simply wanted a city, that was graced with charm and beauty, where he could do just that, sit at night and watch the sky. This is a city that is steeped in the epochs of history, tradition and royalty, and as such there are many palaces and forts that are set up high from the times when the city needed watching over. There is the City Palace, which is the combined architectural styles of the Mughals and Rajput, which is now a hotel and there is the Palace Museum wherein one can peruse the photos of the Royalty throughout the history of Jaipur. And of course, the king’s observatory is still there, standing testament to his belief in the importance of understanding the movement of the stars.

Jaipur hotels have many international guests staying with them, tourists on holiday looking for incredible treasures to found in the market places. One of the most famous traditions practiced in the city is that of jewelry making and design. There are many items of Indian work, that can only be found in Jaipur such as the bodla, the jewel for the forehead, the arm band and certain kinds of hair barrettes. Many of the pieces are made with precious stones as well as the pearl of Jaipur, the Basra. There are many styles of this handiwork, however two are the most popular and practiced and those are the Kundan and the Meenakari traditions.
The Kundan style of jewelry was inspired, as many of the traditions in other forms of artwork in India, by the Mughals. This is the art of delicately placing fine stones into settings of either silver or gold. They are held in place by finely sculpted pieces of gold leaf, not by claws nor clasps. This is jewelry fit for royals, and as such many of the film actors and wealthy will travel to Jaipur to purchase these pieces. Meenakari is a different kind of work, very colorful and very local to the artists of Jaipur. The pieces are then put through a process of enameling to make them comfortable for the close contact with the wearers skin. This is a very fine piece of work.
Silver jewelery is becoming stylish as contemporary fashions and trends have dictated and those working in silver have large numbers of customers at their stalls. The styles have become a combination of modern fused with traditional designs, and have a bit of a trendiness aspect, very appreciated and sought after by the tourists. When purchasing items from the roadside markets it is proper and expected that one would bargain over the prices. However in the fine jewelery stores in the city, one must remember to ask for a receipt or business card with name of the shop and the artist, that states the weight and the price of the piece.

In Bangkok, the most popular forms of painting…the most popular used mediums is that of either acrylic or oil paintings done on canvas, or watercolors which istraditionally done on paper, but can be quite effective on gesso -ed canvas or board. However the galleries have been noticing and increase in the popularity of works of sculpture and those of mixed media. There has been a long history of the traditions and thesuburb technique of the artists in Thailand, and many of those traveling to the city will want to venture out into the markets and the galleries from their 5 star hotel. Bangkok arts and crafts include everything from clothing to household items to jewelry and printed scarves.
This legacy of the artisans of the ancient times has combined with the spirit and the experimentation of the younger generations of artists. These youth are less resistant to changing than many of their parents and grand parents and are willing to take more risks with their artwork, moving from the traditional crafts to the modern world of painting and sculpture. Some of the traditions do still remain however as in the work of Akiyama Iwao, who practiced wood block printing, and added Haiku poetry to the side of the composition in order to better inform the viewer of the meaning or stories behind what he was creating.
The scene in the art world of Bangkok has begun to flourish. More galleries are popping up throughout the neighborhoods and the public is having many more opportunities to see work in general, as well as meeting the artists who are showing in the exhibits. Many in the cultural art world are hoping that this city will become more diverse in their work, have an appreciation that will continue to grow, and perhaps to become and artistic hub much as the SoHo neighborhood in New York or perhaps the salons in Paris. Gallery walks are becoming very interesting in the city of Bangkok, and is the perfect way to spend the evening for the tourist in search of new and vibrant work.

This city of Spain, Marbella is noted and touted as the playground and holiday spot for rich and the stylish. It is obvious when walking along the beaches, or in designer boutiques and luxury hotels, Marbella residents and those traveling there, are fashionable and they wear it well. This is not the sandy beaches filled with cut-off shorts or flip flops or beer bellies, this is for the well dressed and the very attractive members of the elite and the wealthy. Many on these beaches are scantily clad however, as is true European style. But surrounding the resorts and the beach hotels are expanses of unspoiled landscape and a complete absence of things such as run down hotels, or tacky restaurants. The beautiful sea and sand dunes, that is all. Many wishing to avoid the summer crowds and vacation to Marbella during the early months of the summer season, wherein most likely one will run into just a few locals on the beaches and in the shops and restaurants.
And speaking of the restaurants of the city, Marbella is well known for their standard of fine dining and cuisine, and throughout Spain has some of the finest in the country. One of the local favorites for fresh seafood and fancy dining is the La Perla Blanca. One will notice as they sit in the dining room, the chatter is of Spanish language, between the waiter and the customers. It is always good to seek out the restaurants and other establishments wherein the locals go. Many wishing for the more glamorous of areas may head to Puerto Banus. This beach is filled with billion dollar boats and the beautiful babes of the upper class. There are many small and quaint cafes along the beach where one can simply sit and soak in the sun while watching the yachts pull in and out of the bay. Many celebrities hang out in Banus, for the atmosphere and for the shopping. Many high priced and high fashioned boutiques line the streets. Marbella is not for those vacationers adhering to strict budgets or looking for travel deals, this remains to be one of the few spots seriously catering to the wealthy of the world.

For those traveling with children, finding activities that are enjoyable for the kids, and bearable for the adults may be a challenge, however this is not so of the Southbank area of the Australian city of Brisbane. Southbank combines scenic beauty, with culture, with fun. There are waterparks, the Streets beach, the Wheel of Brisbane, and throughout the year the city organizes special activities and events just for the kids.
Aquativity is Southbanks interactive park, located just beside the public beach. The waters here at the park are shallow enough to be safe, but provide a nice cool down in the middle of a summer afternoon. There are fountains and jets for the children to play within, and while this is a fun park, a little bit of learning goes on to. Tour guides will teach them about water, about the River, storms, clouds, anything that has to do with water and the environment. The park is open on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Streets beach is one of the most popular spots in Brisbane, and as it the only mid-city beach, it is conveniently located close to more than thirty restaurants, cafes, bars and five star Brisbane hotels. Streets is a man-made beach that is along the shores of the River of Brisbane. There are beaches of white sand, creeks, and shallow swimming holes surrounded by exotic and tropical plants and flowers. While this may not be a prime location for surfing as their are no waves or rip currents, this is the perfect spot for families traveling with children. And located all along the beach are the Brisbane Ice Cream stands and carts, another of the popular amenities added just for kids, and some adults, wanting a bit sweet tooth cool down on a perfect summer day at the beach.

Times in the United States have become tougher than the used to be. The job market has almost become a vacuum of positions that often require much more schooling or ducking into school to avoid the market entirely.
Now the job boards seem to be absolutely filled with jobs for people who have a sales background. Sales can be quite a lucrative career, but it can also be quite a risky career path. Now more than ever, especially, employers may be offering only commission based sales jobs. The good news is that your earnings potential is never capped, on the downside you do not have a steady income to speak of.
You should not be put off by the sales jobs listings. Even if you don’t fashion yourself a sales tiger you can get some sales training to give yourself some more confidence.
Or if you used to have a sales job that you abandoned long ago do some sales process improvement training. This type of training can kind of job your memory and let you know if anything has changed in the realm of sales.
If you don’t think you can sell, you are definitely wrong. Just think back to your childhood, you probably sold something. Were you a Girl Scout cookie top seller? Or did you work at a retail store during college with sales goals? Don’t discount that kind of experience; it can be just as valuable as any other type of experience.
Bottom line is that a career in sales is a viable career choice. And it allows you to apply for many more jobs if you are open to working on a commission basis. If you are feeling less than stellar about your skills, definitely consider getting into a sales training program. The more job choices you give yourself, the better off and more rewarding your job search will be.

Melbourne is one of Australia’s most culturally diverse cities. Set in amongst the age old architecture is a roughness, an edginess, and a style that is at once enigmatic and contemporary. While this is a bustling metropolis, the daily life of the people is laid back and sedate. Many choose to take the trains, walk or bicycle around the city, which is the perfect way for travelers and tourists to grasp the history on the streets of the city. There are many various neighborhoods, each with their own personalities and character, filled with coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants and luxury hotels. Melbourne, Australia has some of the finest restaurants in the country, as well as a vibrant art scene, cutting edge fashion shows and performance art, as well as sporting events and a diverse range of festivals that occur throughout the year.
One of the best neighborhoods to wander through is Chinatown. When one enters the district one does so under large archways and finds themselves on Little Bourke Street. This street is filled with restaurants and the aromas of spices hangs heavy in the air. Some of the most famous Chinese restaurants in Australia are on this small street, such as Dragon Boat and Shark Fin. In amongst these sits Flower Drum, the Cantonese fine restaurant. Many ingredients can be purchased along the street in the shops for ones own kitchen. Once the sun sets, the bright lights come on, from the lanterns strung through the trees to the neon lights in the shop windows, Little Bourke is a sparkling and colorful wonderment. This area is filled as well, with many bars, dance clubs and discos, and art galleries. Many festivals are held in Chinatown and two most notable and enjoyable are the Asian Food Festival and of course, the celebration of the Chinese New Year. Access to this part of Melbourne is abundant, and the trains and shuttle systems run everyday.

There are so many reasons why guests love our 5-star Mallorca hotels, and not the least of which is the dependable and excellent service 24 hours a day. There is a wide range of amenities available, and each one has its own particular charms that help to emphasize its own twist on the local flavor. But each one will have the outstanding features that are held up to the highest standards in the industry, and only available in 5-star accommodations. Mallorca is a splendid place, being the largest of Spain’s islands, and your stay here is guaranteed to be unforgettable.
There are all types of diversions available to the whole family, and the island has an extremely vibrant social scene that is always running, day and night. With excellent restaurants and cafés, bars and clubs, and a range of choices for shopping adventures, Mallorca serves up the usual with an unusual flair. There are also amazing museums, where art and history weave together to make for an extremely pleasant afternoon for the mind and the senses. Mallorca is small enough to have the warmth and hospitality of an island, but large enough to support interesting work that travels through the area. One example of this is El extraño Museo Llonovoy, the strange Museum Llonovoy, Traveling Museum of Broken Toys.
The artist Miguel Ángel Juan has taken pieces of broken toys and put together over 370 original pieces of art, toys made from nothing. The result, this Museum Llonovoy, came through Mallorca on its pass through Spain, and it haunts and amuses even in memory. The exhibition itself, a room with small scenes mounted on wooden crates, invites the curious inside to a world that is directly taken from childhood. Not just from the presence of the objects, but the artist’s skill in reconfiguring the pieces of toys in such a playful and consciously surreal manner, directly recalls the kinds of combinations that make sense in childhood. It brings this back in a very direct and pleasing way, where psychologically complex associations are pressing against a background of innocence, making this a spectacularly comfortable world that is simultaneously nostalgic and absolutely fresh.

When I was growing up in western New York State, the bird that delighted me the most was the pileated woodpecker, it’s as big as a crow and has a flaming red crest with a spectacular patterned wing that is revealed when it flies. Little did I know that I would get to see its even larger relative, the ivory-billed woodpecker, now extinct, but it was one of North America’s largest woodpecker species. In May, I joined up with my friend, Woodfrow, staying at a Five Star Hotel New York City offers the thousands of tourist visiting everyday.
I was in his hotel room when he pulls out an album book and starts showing me photos of a trip we took way back in 1942 to Tallulah, Louisiana. I remembered that we went there with our folks who planned a guided tour. Our guide was a local woodsman by the name of Richard, a man that I remember well, he was funny and very knowledgeable. We set pace with his long stride and he led us toward a section of swamp where my parents were most interested in. He pointed to a pair of birds who were roosting. He urged my parents to take photos and step quickly, because the birds were preparing to leave their roosting holes. The section of swamp we were at had a good amount of those birds. I remember my parents being so thrilled.
Woodfrow pointed to the photos that my parents has shot that day, and low and behold, my parents captured the ivory-billed woodpecker. It never occurred to me, when on that trip that my parents had some kind of instinct about the fate of these beautiful birds. Richard, told me he really didn’t know either at that time. When my parents sent him copies of our trip, he felt for some reason that he needed to hold on to those photos. I’m so glad he did. All my parents photos where lost in a fire. It was truly amazing to be here, in a New York hotel room, seeing actual photos of an extinct bird. But, what was most amazing is the news with which Woodfrow had for me. Recently, the ivory-billed woodpecker has been sighted and now put on the endangered list. What an amazing day.

When looking for the perfect luxury hotel, Chennai, India would be a great place to begin. Southern India is an excellent place to spend a vacation, with a beautiful location on the Bay of Bengal, and a large and lively urban population. It hosts a wonderful music festival, and has an extremely vibrant theatre scene. It is also the home of Kollywood, India’s Tamil film capital, where big budget blockbusters as well as smaller features, are made. There is also a thriving industrial base, and its rich and complicated history make it a wonderful place to spend time. The hotels are splendidly designed, with an eye toward international style, and guests can expect to experience a rejuvenation of the body and mind.
The Chennai Music Festival is, of course, one of the most exciting events the city offers. Recently the government has teamed with the state tourism department and the music sabhas to attract more international guests. It certainly is one of the most amazing festivals in performing arts in the world, where the city hosts many music and dance artists who perform for the month of December. Performances are held in traditional music and dance venues, as well as sacred spaces, and also in makeshift performance venues. It began in 1927 to honor the anniversary of the Madras Musical Academy, and has been held every December since then. The entire city takes part, and art is in the air.
The festival is, by most standards for performance extravaganzas, very old. But its roots go much further back than 1927. Carnatic music, that is, the traditional music of South India, has always been played at this time in South India as a form of spiritual devotion. The festival, as it exists today, is a much broader entity, and includes many different dance, music, and dramatic forms. There are also different levels of experience among the performers, which make it very eclectic, and provides an excellent learning experience for the younger artists. Today it attracts a wide variety of performers, such as Sriram Krishnan, who plays in the traditional Carnatic style. This extremely important festival is an amazing opportunity to see the variety of old and new performance work, and to take part in an art event that envelopes an entire city.
