Madrid Golf
Posted by Brody on July 7, 2009Madrid is one of the most internationally well-known and celebrated cities in Spain. It has an incredible arts and entertainment scene and is rich in cultural heritage. There are many museums and national monuments dedicated to remembering and honoring its history and cultural significance. The luxury hotels Madrid Spain are frequently booked to capacity with tourists eager to explore the various dynamic aspects of this beautiful city.
One of the things tourists are attracted to and residents regularly make use of is its fabulous golf courses. There are many throughout the area, and most are filled with luscious green landscapes. The Olivar de la Hinojasa Golf Course is ideal for medium skilled players. It is conveniently located in the city and structured for all levels of play. It is a par 72 course and that means that most players can play on it, and even advanced or greatly skilled golfers can enjoy a morning or afternoon on this player friendly course. The Real Sociedad Golf Course is another great course located approximately 20 kilometers north of the center of the city. Reservations are required on this 36 hole complex. The landscape is beautiful and was designed by Robert Von Hagge, who is world renown. He also designed the Costa Brava and Emporda Golf Course.
The La Herreria Golf Course is a spectacularly beautiful course with plenty of trees and beautiful panoramic views. When pacing by the Palace to enter the course, you know you are somewhere special. It is a private members course, so it is definitely not recommended that you try and play there if you’re not a member of a guest. Also, it is one of the furthest courses from the city, though the countryside scenery and seclusion of this beautiful course make it well worth the drive. Most, if not all, of the golf courses in and near Madrid often the standard amenities. Great restaurants, pro shops, showers, changing rooms and lounges are often necessary to round out a great day of golf.
